The number of foreign workers holding work permits in Egypt has reached 13,331 from various countries, with Chinese labor at the forefront, followed by Indian and Syrian labor. The state, through the Ministry of Labor has worked over the past years to regulate foreign labor in Egypt and facilitate the process for investors to obtain work residency.
