The Egyptian Coalition for Human Rights and Development condemns the Rapid Support Militia’s storming of the village of “Wad Al-Noura”, in the state of “Al-Jazeera” and the commission of the most heinous violations against the people of the village, which killed more than (104) martyrs and hundreds of injuries in a flagrant violation of the right to life and personal security

On Wednesday, 5 June 2024, The “Rapid Support Militias” launched an attack on the village with (35) combat vehicles, where soldiers fired indiscriminately at the people, resulting in the death of more than (104) martyrs and hundreds of injuries, and the attacking force carried out widespread looting of the people’s property and cars.

In this regard, the Egyptian Coalition for Human Rights and Development affirms its condemnation of the “brutal violations” committed by the Rapid Support Militias in the village of Wad al-Noura and the grave violations against unarmed civilians since the control of the Rapid Support Forces.

The Egyptian Coalition calls on the Rapid Support Militias to abide by the international conventions and international humanitarian law and not to attack civilians and vital facilities in the country; and to take into account the interests of the Sudanese state and its people, a ceasefire and an end to the conflict, which will spare the Sudanese people suffering
